SQL Server Concepts and Ideas

Today marks a significant milestone for this blog as it celebrates its 4th birthday. Four years ago, on this very day, I started this blog with a simple intention – to keep a record of what I learn every day. Little did I know then that this blog would grow to become a valuable resource for SQL Server enthusiasts, garnering over 20 million views.

When I first ventured into the world of SQL Server, transitioning from a developer’s background, I found it challenging to grasp all the aspects of Database Administration. While there were numerous online resources available for developers and administrators, there was a noticeable lack of guidance specifically focused on Performance Tuning.

Over time, this blog naturally gravitated towards Performance Tuning, reflecting my core expertise in this area. However, the primary objective of this blog has always remained the same – to serve as a repository of knowledge and to document my learning journey.

As the blog gained popularity, I started offering two major services to the community. The first is the Performance Tuning Health Check, where I assess and optimize the performance of SQL Server environments. The second is the Learning Performance Tuning Health Check, which empowers individuals to learn and implement performance tuning techniques on their own.

Reflecting on the past four years, I am overwhelmed by the amount of writing I have done and the positive response from all of you. It is your support and engagement that has made this blog a success. I am grateful for the opportunity to share my knowledge and contribute to the SQL Server community.

Looking ahead, I am committed to continuing this journey and providing valuable insights and guidance on SQL Server concepts and ideas. I invite you to join me as we explore the ever-evolving world of SQL Server together.

Thank you for being a part of this incredible journey!
